Old Growth Forests- at risk?

CCS has been very concerned at proposed alterations for opportunities for logging in the face of reduced material as a result of the last fires 2009.

The recurring fires that Australia experiences means that the “true definition of Old Growth Forest” may not actually have any legal standing given that old trees have been burned repeatedly and many have failed to survive. Could this be an opportunity for Government to allow logging in areas that we would have thought should be protected?
