Throughout Maroondah there are frogs wherever the environment is suitable. An ornamental pond in your garden, or any place where water lies for a lengthy period of time, is suitable for egg laying and the maturing of tadpoles into froglets.
Mostly you will find this frog jumping out of empty flower pots that have been stacked, they are safe there as predators like cats dogs and large birds cannot get them, put back what you have disturbed, they will return when safe to do so.
It looks like this
It make a sound like crick crick crick. We also have the spotted Marsh frog in our waterways across Maroondah, there is a great big play sculpture of one in Croydon Town Park Civic place at the rear of the Leisure center. A great photo of this is on Maroondah Council site under public art Spotted Tree frog.
