Maroondah region Heritage review

Currently Council is undertaking analysis of immediate post war development in our region.

If you know of a particular house, street (named in honour of the war) a location, a building or streetscape that you think might fit this criteria, please email us at president@croydonconservation.org.au and we will pass it on to the responsible person at Council.

CCS has already asked for Heritage protection of the trees of Croydon Rd, as well as the post war house fascades remaining along the road. We have also asked for similar protection of front gardens and house fascades along Mt Dandenong Rd from the train overpass to Main St on both sides, where applicable.

CCS also hopes that our current data base of over 300 mature trees of the region will also be afforded Heritage protection, since they are the collective Environmental Heritage  that we all enjoy in leafy green Maroondah. We will accept nominations of trees from private property, not necessarily your own, just let us know the street address and number.
